How has my involvement with STARS changed things at home? - Week #6
15. April 2010 by KVaughn.
· I have become more responsible with things that I do.
· My family is very interested in hearing me talk about scuba and seem to be more interested in what I am doing than before STARS.
· My family supports me and shows me that they are proud of what I am doing and that means a lot to me.
· I don’t think this program is helping much with the relations within my family.
· Things at home have gotten better and I have been talking more with my parents.
· I have been getting along with my sisters and it has increased our family communications, we are acting more like a family and don’t argue as much.
· My relationship and communications with my family have been getting better.
· They (my family) are always asking me what it’s like dangerous, fun?
· I love when they (my family) ask about scuba diving, I love telling my family about it.
· Nothing has changed at home except for my relationship with my brother as he (Navy diver) has to do things I am doing. I got my Skin Diving certification before him.
· They (my parents) are very proud of me because they thought I could not do it.
· I am having a better relationship with my family, we communicate much better.
· I have been more responsive to things my parents ask me to do.
· I find that I am now more self motivated.
· My parents are proud of me for keeping up with the program in parallel with my work and school studies.
· It has brought be closer to my parent (Dad) and I honestly don’t know why, but it really has.
· My mom is crankier because she cannot yell at me as much.
· My Dad is happier because I am no longer a couch potato.
· Even though I don’t have as much time with my family it has made our time together better.
· I realize now all that my family does for me and I communicate with them more after I get home from class.
· I feel like a more positive person and my family sees me more as a relaxed person.
· I am viewed as more flexible and with improved patience.
