Learning SeaSigns… what’s it to me? - Week #4
6. April 2010 by KVaughn.
· As a diver for the past 3 years I use SeaSigns, but my friends in school don’t understand when I use SeaSigns out of the water.
· I would use SeaSigns whenever I see something cool!
· I could use SeaSigns if I encounter a deaf person in an emergency to help them.
· I could use SeaSigns to communicate and interact with other divers underwater about interesting things or dangers.
· With SeaSigns I could share interesting things about the ocean with a deaf person.
· I would use SeaSigns to talk with my friends if I am too lazy to use my mouth.
· SeaSigns would help me communicate with a deaf person if I ever meet one.
· SeaSigns would be something to put on a job application indicating I know some sign language.
· I could use SeaSigns if I encounter someone who does not speak my language but knows sign language to work around the language barrier.
· I will help other people learn SeaSigns.
· I will use SeaSigns to tell a diving buddy something underwater.
· SeaSigns might be ideal if a deaf person needed a translator.
· While scuba diving SeaSigns will allow me to communicate about different types of sea life and hazards.
· SeaSigns would be ideal to work around not being able to talk aloud in class with my friends.
· I hope to get a job working with the deaf and SeaSigns will help me.
